crossroad
she stands at a crossroad
looking left, right, straight ahead
refusing to look behind
eager to set a course
uncertain of what to do
she looks up, asking for a sign
or maybe a guiding hand
her mind exhausted from thinking
her heart tells her the direction
a path is set for her feet to follow
regrets, anger, passion, slip down from her shoulders
hesitation, then silence
she sits at a crossroad
the sun now hides behind the clouds above
her heart reduced to whispers
"patience, and the sun will soon shine again"
looking left, right, straight ahead
refusing to look behind
eager to set a course
uncertain of what to do
she looks up, asking for a sign
or maybe a guiding hand
her mind exhausted from thinking
her heart tells her the direction
a path is set for her feet to follow
regrets, anger, passion, slip down from her shoulders
hesitation, then silence
she sits at a crossroad
the sun now hides behind the clouds above
her heart reduced to whispers
"patience, and the sun will soon shine again"
